aad_rollrepl.jpg (22272 bytes)
1 Place door end to end standing up.
2 Turn adjusting screw clockwise until it bottoms out.
3 Take pliers (needle nose or combination) and grab steel wheel, pull roller assembly out.
4 Reach up inside with head of 8 penny nail, pulling white plastic adjusting lever until it stops.  At this point, place the screen door on a table.
5 Take a flat-head screwdriver and place it behind saddle and wheel point, pushing out and slightly up.  The roller assembly should release.
6 Hold roller with S-configuration turned toward center of door.   Turn the S-facing up, insert into cavity.
7 Place screwdriver tip in roller saddle opening.  Work roller assembly toward center of door which should allow rivet to catch in the hold in the extrusion.  It may be necessary to elongate rivet hole to accomplish the realignment.
Atrium Sweep Replacement
aad_sweeprep.jpg (17693 bytes)
1 Remove the operating panel.
2 Remove the staples from the door bottom
3 Utilitizing a stiff putty knife between the door sweep and panel, pry the sweep out of the panel box.
4 Scrape any old caulking from the bottom of the door panel
5 Run a small bead of caulking along the outside edge and ends of the replacement sweep.
6 Place new sweep on door panel.  Locate sweep by placing perpendicular edge to interior edge of door.  (A)  Be sure slanted leaf (B) fits between door panel and sweep main body.
7 Secure with small galvanized box or dry wall nails.  Nail 2 on each end and 3 or 4 alternating locations down the length of the sweep.
THIS SWEEP REPLACES ALL VERSIONS OF PREVIOUS SWEEPS.  SWEEPS ARE BEVELED ON ENDS TO CONFORM TO DOOR EDGE BEVELS.
Atrium T-Cap Replacements
aad_tcapold.jpg (21967 bytes)
1 Remove the old T-Cap and woven pads.  Be sure to thoroughly clean the T-Cap kerf in the sill.
2 The kerf must be thoroughly filled and sealed prior to installation of the new threshold.  This can be accomplished with a good quality caulking compound.  Be sure to seal the ends of the kerf at the jamb and fixed panel(s).
3 Dry fit the oak threshold into position and drill pilot holes into the sill.
4 Apply 2 beads of silicone caulk 1/4" from the interior and exterior of the sill.  Also, caulk each edge of the new T-Cap substrate.
5 Run a small bead of caulking along the top outside leading edge of the oak threshold prior to installing the snap-on vinyl threshold cover.  It may be necessary to use a rubber mallet to install the vinyl cover.
6 Replace woven pads with new ones.  Peel the back off and position on either end.  It may be necessary to use brass or galvanized brads to hold pads in place.  Staples will also suffice if available.
